Condemnation. That’s why I was afraid of the Bible. Irrationally, probably, because I know what my dad says the Bible means (his interpretation of it) isn’t 100% true; but that’s why I haven’t been reading my Bible…I’ve been afraid that after my parents and brother condemned me, the Bible would as well. The Prodigal Son The first passage he referred to is the story we all know as the Prodigal Son. This is misleading, because #1 he doesn’t wait for me as the son’s father did…he doesn’t anticipate my return. (Rightly […]

A tongue-in-cheek poke at the courtship/betrothal people…and also the people who confuse history with commandments. I didn’t write it but it is hilarious so I just had to repost it! How to Find A Wife…Biblically! Find an attractive prisoner of war, bring her home, shave her head, trim her nails, and give her new clothes. Then she’s yours. (Deuteronomy 21:11-13) Find a prostitute and marry her. (Hosea 1:1-3) Find a man with seven daughters, and impress him by watering his flock. […]
